Sacramental Preparation

Children usually receive their first communion in second grade, once they are at least seven years old. First communion is always preceded by their first reconciliation. Preparation for both sacraments is done through the parish PSR program.

Preparation through another Parish

If your child can't participate in the parish PSR program for some serious reason, please contact us to arrange preparation through another parish while still receiving the sacraments at St. Mel's.
